Comments: What a pleasure to meet Don! I was so worried that my well pump had stopped working. After some testing, Don found that the pump control itself was shot, even though I had that particular part replaced not too long ago; hence my "Pump Theory"! Don had called me @0705 this morning and was at my house @0810. Don was very polite and knowledgeable, and had a great down-to-earth attitude! The fee for Don's service was very reasonable. When my well pump does go, I'll be calling Don for that and any of my well related troubles.

Comments: Water was pouring from the pressure gauge emanating from our water storage tank. Don recommended shutting the power to the pump and he arrived within 90 minutes. He was knowledgeable, diagnosed and explained the problem clearly. He replaced the rusted valves and pressure gauge; which stabilized the situation so we had water again. He ordered a new tank and installed it the following day. He was careful not to create damage from water draining and swept up when complete. He removed the damaged tank but left the cardboard box from the new tank. We paid list price for the tank.

Comments: Don replaced my constant pressure well pump. He tried to salvage the existing pump but couldn't. He made sure I had all the warranty information and he will fix it under warranty if it fails again. He explained everything he was doing and taught me about the pump. I feel more informed now. It was an expensive job replacing the entire pump and the control panel but I'm confident Don will be there if there are any problems in the future. He did a good job. He knew it was important to get the water running again so he came out on a Sunday evening and was back the next morning with all the parts.

Comments: I called late one night after discovering I had no water, Don returned my call that same evening. He was at my house the next morning, accessed the problem and explained what he had to do to get me back up and running. Living alone, I'm at the mercy of repairmen. He explained that my pump could be repaired, no need to replace it. I'm certain someone not as honest could have easily taken advantage of the situation, sold me a new pump and charged me a lot of money to install it. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Comments: Ackerman installed our well pump in our new home 33 years ago. Don Slater has replaced our pump twice since then and has also come by a few additonal times to replace a gauge or repair a leak by the well tank. The last time was in February 2013. Despite nearly a foot of snow, Don replaced the pump quickly and professionally. Best of all, he doesn't take advantage of you price-wise - he charges a reasonable price - especially considering when your pump fails you are not in a good negotiating position. I recommend him to all of my friends who have wells.
